October 30th & 31st

Oct 30th.

Was a lovely warm Saturday. Everyone got lots of time outside enjoying the lovely weather.

Oct 31st

A cloudy and dark morning with a few showers. We have just welcomed a couple of new bunny friends to stay for a while.  Milly & Zack, the very fluffy sweet bunnies. Although Milly seems a little bit grumpy at the moment, I'm sure she'll be fine once she has a chance to relax and take in the new scenery.

October 28th, 2010

A cool overcast day was perfect for lots of outside play today. But Miss Jay made it very clear that she was having an indoor day today! So she had a little play around the house today and just hung out!

Rocky & Tarzan enjoyed their outside time and chomped up lots of nice fresh grass shoots!

October 27th, 2010

We started out with a beautiful sunny morning and got all the bunnies out for a run. Luckily we all went back in to our cages before the storm came in!

Miss Jay is happy and healthy and really loves her outside time. She gets cheeky when it's time to come back in and plays a game of catch me if you can running up and down the ramp!

We also welcomed back Rocky & Tarzan the Guinea Pigs tonight. They have grown up since they were here last. They are such cute little guys!

Will post some new pics tomorrow.

We have enjoyed some good weather for the last few days but now the rain is back!

We have just one bunny staying with us at the moment, the lovely Miss Jay. She is enjoying being part of the family and is really enjoying outside time and cuddles too. But only on her terms!!

We will be having more friends come stay with us during the week. Looking forward to having Rocky & Tarzan back for another visit!!

October 18th, 2010

I apologise for not having updated the last few days. A couple of technical difficulties but back online now!!

It's been business as usual here. Everyone has enjoyed the sunshine over the past few days. We waved bye bye to Rascal Rabbit on Sunday. We hope he comes back to visit again soon!

Miss Jay has been loving the outside time. She is such a sweet girl and I think she knows now when I pick her up that we are going for a run outside because she makes little cute chatter noises and looks out the direction of the back door straight away!

Here are some of our other bunnies enjoying the sunshine today out in our rabbit runs !

October 13th, 2010

I know this is an early post but had to share some pics. Today was a nice quiet and calm morning, the weather is mild and all the children were at school. A perfect stress free morning to let Miss Jay out in the run! Miss Jay's first time on the grass went fantastically and she is a natural lawn mower!  After a few minutes of careful steps and sniffing around she got to eating some fresh grass. She was very happy and really enjoyed her time. She then stretched out and had a nice nap on the lawn.

Rascal is having a wonderful time in the big run too. He is such a delight to watch. He loves to run and jump and dig and just doesn't sit still!!

And I just said goodbye to Alvin & Theodore. Hope they come and stay with us again soon!!!

October 12th, 2010

Today was a nice day!

Miss Jay is definitely coming out of her shell now! She has a lot of fun pulling her drink bottles off the cage and is quite bold when it comes to her fresh veg in the morning! It's great to see her so confident now.

Rascal is loving the day time run. He spends so much of his time just constantly jumping about and does some of the highest binkies I've ever seen! Will try and snap some pics of him in action tomorrow.

It's our last night with Alvin & Theodore. These guys make me laugh every day! When I come out with the fresh food in the morning the climb the bars and when I open the cage they climb out and take the food right out of my hands!!! Cheeky little rats!

October 11th, 2010

Well a fairly quiet day here at Little Pet Minders now that school is back.  We waved goodbye to Big Fluffy this morning but look forward to seeing her again over the Christmas break.

With all the wind and rain, the bunnies had a quiet indoor day and Alvin & Theodore snored away for most of the day too.

Miss Jay is coming out of her shell and comes to the front of the cage for pats and treats now instead of hiding away. Rascal has settled in well. He is one super busy bunny, he is always on the move.

We have now reached capacity booking for the Christmas break from 11th Dec through to 16th January 2011! So now we will relax and prepare for all the guests that start arriving in about 8 weeks time!!! I know that time will fly!

October 10th, 2010

Today was officially the end of the school holidays. We still have a few friends with us though!

Today we welcomed Rascal. He is a very busy boy who made great use of our big run this afternoon. He jumped around like a crazy rabbit!! Got a shot while he sat still for 1 min!

Today we were going to bring Miss Jay outside for some time in the run but the wind made her a bit scared so we had a wonderful cuddle but thought is would be best to wait til it's a bit calmer weather outside. She like her new hay and made a comfy corner to chill out in.

Big Fluff enjoyed an extra big run around this afternoon and found it great fun teasing the boys! There was some sweet nothings being whispered in her ear ! Kurisu is quite the sweet talker!

Alvin & Theodore made short work of a nice new bundle of tissues busy nesting in their little igloo. They are cheeky little ratties!

That is some big bunny ears!!!

October 8th, 2010

A nice day for all today. Lots of backyard time and excercise for all the guinea pigs and rabbits. Also lots of climbing, playing and out of cage fun for the ratties too.

The house is slowly becoming empty as our little furry visitors are going home to their families. It's always a little bit sad to say goodbye to our guests.

Today Oreo and Wombat went back home! We hope to see you again soon!!

Have decided to add an animal fact to the end of each day!

Fact: The only two animals that can see behind themselves without turning their head are the RABBIT and the PARROT.

No wonder it's so hard to catch those cheeky wabbits!!!

October 7th, 2010

A nice day at Little Pet Minders, busy as usual! But here are the pictures that I promised!

We'll start with Alan & Denny. After being lulled from a deep sleep with the promise of a carrot treat, we got a pic of these 2 gorgeous guys. Denny has been a bit under the weather but looks much happier today!

Then we have the cheeky ratties Alvin & Theodore! These guys have the life sorted and even drag their food bowls back into the igloo for easier feed times! Theodore came after me today when I took away the igloo in attempt to get a good shot of Alvin. He is so funny!

Then we have the "Big Fluffy" herself. Very independent, and always such a lovely girl. She is very relaxed and just loves to hang outside in the sunshine.

The beautiful Miss Jay who has come to stay with us yesterday has settled very well.  She had a great meal this morning and has got the hang of her ramp now. She is a little bit of a shy bunny but I'm sure she'll warm to us very soon
Oreo & Wombat and Topsy & Turvey had a wonderful time out on the grass this morning but when the wind started they got a bit jittery so they came back inside! They did a great job of mowing the lawns for me!!!

And last but definitely not least, Mr Quincy had a great day out today too.  Spending the morning out on the grass runs and the afternoon under cover just incase those dark clouds brought the rains.  He is a very curious and sweet little guy but has now gone home with his newly married Mummy and Daddy. Hope to see you again Quincy!

October 6th, 2010

It's been a very hectic day here today but things seemed to have finally calmed down a little!

Today we welcomed Jay the Rabbit to our guest house! She's a beautiful bunny with the biggest brown eyes I have ever seen. She'll be part of our family here for the next couple of months.

I promise some more pics of all our visitors tomorrow!

October 5th, 2010

Thankfully the sun was out today and with daylight savings, the sun just kept coming. The bunnies enjoyed long plays out in the big runs. The guinea pigs squealed and ran around out in the sunshine today too.

The ratties were all tucked up in their nests had a good sleep. They needed that after a very busy night. Is it a full moon??

We waved goodbye to Fluffy & Brownie today. Hopefully they will come back and play again soon!

October 4th, 2010

A super busy cleaning day and also had Ian out building a couple of new outside hutches and a run.

All the guinea pigs and rabbits had time outside between the rain showers today. They love their time outside.

The ratties had an adventurous day today being carried around and played with outside of their cages. They are all very curious little ratties. Alvin is definitely the boldest! Theodore seemed to follow Alvin wherever he went too which was cute.

Alan and Denny went exploring but very cautiously at first. Soon they had fun climbing around and exploring all over the lounge room!

Then we had to wave goodbye to Rocky & Tarzan the G'Pigs this evening. We hope they come back to play again soon.

October 3rd, 2010

With the weather remaining rainy all day, the bunnies made the most of their time out in the runs under the shelter.

Quincy had a great game of peek-a-boo with me running in and out of the box tunnels.

Big Fluffy always has a great time stretching her legs outside. She is a happy bunny when she has room to move.

Brownie and Fluffy are being cheeky little bunnies lately and eveytime I try to get an action pic they come running up to check out the camera. They love their ramp in their hutch and run up and down playing together most of the day.

Alan & Denny are so chilled out! They hang about in their hammock most the day but always wake up when they see me just in case I have some treats!!

Alvin & Theodore hid away in their igloo deep in the tissue nest they have created. Pictures are impossible!!!!

All the guinea pigs had a fun day scurrying back and forth making their cute little squeaks and chirps.
So even though it's cold and rainy outside. It's warm and fuzzy in our place!

October 2nd, 2010

With the yucky weather starting early today it was hard to get everyone out for their run but using the 2 shelter areas we managed to get all the bunnies some outside time today.

The rats were thoroughly unexcited about the weather too and had another quiet day but have sprung to life this evening, full of beans and busy organising their cages. They hate when I take away their little nests but it's so much fun watching them get busy building and ripping and rearranging. They really enjoyed some fresh strawberry treat today too.

We welcomed some more little cavy friends today too. Wombie & Oreo (left) Topsy & Turvy (right) as well as ! These boys have combined voices with Rocky & Tarzan who arrived yesterday and now we have quite the cute little cavy choir singing away inside!

We are officially at capacity now and love having the house filled with happy little critters!!

October 1st, 2010

With the weather a bit cooler today, the bunnies were much more active out in the runs today. It was fun to watch. Quincy our latest bunny visitor enjoyed his time out in the run but was constantly under the watchful eye of "Big Fluffy".

The ratties had a very quiet day relaxing in their little nests that they worked hard on yesterday.

We also welcomed little Rocky and Tarzan the Guinea Pigs. Just babies still and a little bit shy but very sweet and enjoyed their cuddles this afternoon.
