Sept. 30th, 2010

Another month is over! We welcomed Quincy the Bunny today but he was being a little bit camera shy tonight so though best to wait til we get out in the sunshine tomorrow to take his picture!

Everyone else staying here with us had a nice relaxing day. They all enjoyed a breakfast that included brocoli, bok choy, carrot, fresh grass and hay. "Big Fluffy" went exploring around the yard. She certainly is the bold adventurer and found a favourite bush out the back to have her nap under!

The ratties all enjoyed their tunnels again today and their was lots of fresh nest building going on after I cleaned and emptied out their little boxes and made them start again!!!

Sept. 29th, 2010

This morning the guest bunnies all had a very long run out the back. They look very tired now stretched out having a nice afternoon nap!!

Brownie really enjoys nibbling on the grass out in the run.

 Fluffy was very curious about the bunnies in the run beside him. He had a great time running back and forth.

 This Fluffy (now affectionately known here as "Big Fluffy" as she looks like our "Big Buns" ) has had a lovely time on the grass today. She was busy running back and forth until I got the camera anywhere near her and then she would pose!

A large cardboard roll I had here came in very handy today as a new chew toy and play equipment for the ratties.

Alvin and Theodore raced in and out of the pipe over and over again almost as if it were a race! They wore themselves out and are back in their little igloo snoring away.




Alan and Denny had a good time going in the pipe and then blocking it for the other one! Then they had a good chew around the edges too.

So another fun day at Little Pet Minders!  Hope you are all enjoying the updates and having a good time on your holidays. 

Sept. 28th, 2010

Another glorious sunny day. All the bunnies had time out in the big runs today. There was lots of jumping and kicking, twisting and lots of digging. They all had a great time.

The ratties enjoyed a more quiet day inside coming out for their morning treats as usual then hiding away for most of the day in their comfy corners. They have all been working on their little nests with new tissues and paper over night. It's funny listening to Alvin & Theodore snoring!! More pictures tomorrow.

Today was a nice relaxing day at Little Pet Minders. The morning was a little windy which caused a bit of excitement for the bunnies out in the runs!

We also welcomed a new guest today, Fluffy the Bunny! She really is a super fluffy bunny. She settled in very quickly and didn't take long to get curious and start looking around. I'm sure she'll have a great time here.

Sept. 26th, 2010

A very busy Sunday indeed. With the weather heating up and more guests arriving shortly for the school holidays, we revamped our gates out the back to create a large outdoor area for excercise and put up a large sun shade to give our outside hutches more cover. We also put a new fly screen on our outside hutches to keep the mosquitoes and flies away!! Warmer weather always means more flying bugs!!

We also gave lots of cuddles, lots of treats and lots of play time to all our current guests. It's great having such wonderful weather to get so much done! Mr.Fuzzikins the Silver Fox baby bunny has come to stay too!

Alvin & Theodore Rats like to hide away to eat their carrot and treats!



Mr Fuzzikins is such a sweet little guy. He is part of "Winston Rabbits" and will be part of a breeding program when he get older. Silver Fox rabbits are a very rare breed here in Australia.

Alan & Denny are such good buddies. They spend a lot of time lying around practically on top of each other! It's very sweet..

Today we welcome some new boarders.

Alvin & Theodore the Rats. These guys are being super busy running up and around checking out the new surrounds. Will have to wait til they take a break for a snack maybe to get a good pic! Alvin is very curious about the camera though!!!

Denny and Alan have been very busy boys today too. They were given paper brochure last night in their cage and they have spent hours ripping and pulling and re-arranging a little nest in their box.

It was such a warm and wonderful day today at Little Pet Minders but very very busy.  Will post some pics tomorrow. We have 2 rabbits and 2 more rats coming to join us tomorrow too!

Alan & Denny had a relaxing day mainly sleeping in their hammock and chilling out! They thoroughly enjoyed treat time which included some bok choy, fresh strawberry and a bit of apple/pear baby food to help the medicine go down!

Kurisu the Bunny enjoyed a busy day of running around sniffing the air! It's spring time!!!!!

Fred the mouse stayed curled up in his wood shavings fast asleep most of the day. He's been a busy boy last night completely rearranging his cage.

We thought it was about time we had a blog! So leading in to these school holidays we have started this blog so that you can keep track and see pictures of your little pets while we are minding them! We will make regular updates and take plenty of photos.
